We took several pictures of the Centro area of Rio. Many days we took the metro in and tried to find our different destinations. We never had any negative issues but I was warned several time by various people to put my camera or phone away. We even heard stories of people have bags taken or jewelry stolen. We never felt at risk or in danger. Our thought was to act as if in control, Keep items close to your body and be aware of your surroundings.
