Hi.

We are Bud and Beth. We sold most of our belongings (stored the rest) and hit the road for one year around the world. Follow our adventure as we go to 26 countries and 45 cities (give or take a few) in one year.

How much we spent in Bangkok Thailand for 8 days.

What we spent in Bangkok Thailand was slightly higher than I anticipated. We did go on some guided tours which tend to add up fast. Each of the 3 private tours cost us $45 per person per tour. It would be easy to make this trip and spend much less money than what we did. In some destinations, I feel we did our travel at close to the bottom of expense as comfortably possible. In Bangkok, I know we could have cut some expenses and still had a great time. The food in Thailand is so cheap compared to home. We could get a whole pineapple freshly cut up for $1. A good sandwich and French fries runs about $3. A plate of Pad Thai for $4. Transportation is also real cheap. We had options between tuk tuks, cars and metros. You can even get a ride on the back of a motorcycle, they have motorcycle taxis. We spoiled ourselves by taking Uber several times because the price was so good. A 30-minute trip across town would cost $3-$4 in an Uber air-conditioned car. We did take a local bus a couple of times. The one bus we took was free. The second bus cost us each about 10 cents one way. They are very minimalist but they get you from point a to b and you get to see how the locals live and travel. They also run real regular. My reason for explaining this is to say that what we spent could have been reduced by 25% and we still would have had a great time.

Here is what we spent for our 8 days in Bangkok Thailand.

IN BANGKOK THAILAND WE SPENT $926 FOR 8 DAYS = $116 SPENT PER DAY

ROOM $225 - FOOD $262 - TOURISM $276 - MISC $107 - TRANSPORTATION $56
