Hi.

We are Bud and Beth. We sold most of our belongings (stored the rest) and hit the road for one year around the world. Follow our adventure as we go to 26 countries and 45 cities (give or take a few) in one year.

7 Days in in Shanghai China cost us less than $99 per day. Here is what we spent.

7 Days in in Shanghai China cost us less than $99 per day. Here is what we spent.

Our expenses in Shanghai came out much less than we expected. We really saved a lot by finding a inexpensive place to stay that was very central. Our transportation cost was extremely low because it was so convenient to walk most places we wanted to go. China also has a fantastic metro system that is fairly easy to navigate (and written in English).  Unfortunately, we had one day where we did not leave our apartment because of Bud being sick from India. He just really needed a day of laying around relaxing and sleeping. Also, because of his low energy we took our days at a little slower pace. He did end up going to a tourist friendly doctor and received some antibiotics. So never fear Bud is back to normal.  We did not add the doctors expense into the budget because the medical insurance will reimburse us for it. So, without too much more jibber jabber – here is what we spent for our 7 days in Shanghai China. Beth H.

In Shanghai China we spent a total of $691 for 7 days = $99 per day spent

FOOD $298 - ROOM $287 - TOURISM $77 - TRANSPORTATION $29
