WHAT WE SPENT IN PARIS FRANCE
Financially we did real well in Paris, considering it is thought to be an expensive European city. We were able to get a Airbnb not to far out of the center of town for the very reasonable price of $55 a night. We kept the food bill down by eating all breakfasts at home and by not eating in too many restaurants. Bud and I like food and we like good food but neither of us are the type that really need to have the expensive meal to make a trip complete. Our best meals were when we bought a few items at the local grocery store and went and sat along the Seine River and watched the boats go by.
The price of the museums are not outrageous and going to the top of the Eiffel Tower was only $18 each. Instead of paying for a personal guide at a museum we do a audio guide which gives us an overview of the art and the luxury of going at our own pace.
In each location, we work hard to remember that we are not on a short vacation where you spend lots of money and go home broke. We are on a long world wide trip that we need to pace ourselves with our spending. So far it is working and we are making our dream trip come true.
