The month of December was right on track financially - here is what we spent.
The month of December has now passed and we have one more month of expense tracking under our belt. I am really proud that we have done such a good job at keeping track of our expenses. I have to think that this is the best way to shed some light on the often-asked question - how much will my trip cost? Until this trip, I did not know how to calculate the money needed for such a long trip. Luckily Bud is better at it then I am and he pain-stakingly looked at each area and came up with some rough ideas for lodging, food, transportation and misc. We are fairly on track for what he originally estimated. We are very conservative with what we spend. There are a few more luxuries I wish we could splurge on every now and again but overall, I am real happy with our choices. When we finish this trip, it will be interesting to see what everything adds up too. We have kept track of all trains, planes, meals, rooms, adventures and mis-adventures. With any luck, someone will be able to gain a little knowledge from our experience. The following is the expenses for December 2016. Thank you again for following along this trip of a lifetime.
