ILHA GRANDE ISLAND - WHAT WE SPENT

Ilha Grande is a small island off the coast of Rio De Janerio. It took us about 3.5 hours to get there from our Copacabana apartment. We took a combination van carpool and ferry boat to get there. We stayed in a room in someone elses apartment (the owner and other guests were there also). We had our own room but it was not very private (loft that looked over the front room) and we had to share a bathroom. The host and guests were extremely nice and welcoming and helped us choose a tour that took us to some top notch beaches. Our host actually cooked meals for us so we only ate at one restaurant. We did go get snacks at the grocery store and ice cream shop. We did give the host extra money for fixing us meals. We had a unbelievable time there.
