This was a last minute decision to go to Ilha Grande Island. We took a shuttle van and ferry boat (provided by .http://easytransferbrazil.com/en/). We stayed in a local Airbnb that was on block from the beach (https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/7478047). We had a great time despite Bud getting sick. It didn't slow him down much tho - He made the ferry boat trip and 30min one way hike to one of the worlds top 10 beaches - Lopes Mendes (https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g303497-d548420-Reviews-Lopes_Mendes_Beach-Ilha_Grande_State_of_Rio_de_Janeiro.html).
We wish we could have stayed 4 days instead of the 2.5 days. We definitely would like to visit here again.
