THIS IS WHAT LISBON PORTUGAL COST US
Finally we have begun using the Euro. For the next 3 monthes we will no longer have to adjust our conversion rate with each country. The US dollar and the EU euro are pretty close with a $1.12=1 euro.
While in Lisbon we felt pretty comfortable with our spending. We did go over our budget but we anticipate that in the European countries. We hope to make up for it in India. Food was not overly expensive and pretty close to what we would spend in the United States. We were able to keep expenses down by eating breakfast at home and taking snacks with us on long days. We avoided the Sintra expensive food tourist trap and waited to eat once we got back to Lisbon. I need to emphasis again - Sintra is well worth the trip!
All in all we had a wonderful time in Lisbon and wish we would have scheduled more time there. Beth
