The best Airbnb yet!
Our Venice Airbnb was top notch! We were lucky to find a 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment in the suburb of Marghera. Marghera is on the mainland and is a 20-minute bus ride to the center of Venice. Every day we would walk 2 blocks to catch the local bus and ride with the local people to one of the most unique cities in the world.
When we looked for a place to stay in Venice we were focusing on a place a further out in order to keep the costs down. We really lucked out because we found a newly remodeled apartment that the owners had just began listing on Airbnb. If you recall, I once said that we don’t rent a place unless it has 10 reviews. Well this place only had 2 reviews BUT down at the bottom of the Airbnb listing I noticed that the owners had a few other Airbnb rentals. I was able to view their reviews for their other properties. They had 146 reviews from their other properties and they were 5 stars!
I believe they offered the unit at a lower price in order to get renters faster to build up their reviews. It worked in our favor. This was the nicest, largest and best Airbnb we have stayed in so far on our trip. The best part is that it kept our expenses down in a city that is known for being expensive. We rented a beautiful Airbnb in a great neighborhood for only $56 a night. Beth
