OUR AIRBNB IN PRAGUE
Our rental in Prague was a nice studio apartment that was one block off the Vltava river. We were a 2-minute walk to the tram that would take us to Old Town or Lesser Town. We were a 10-minute walk from Vysehrad Park. We were very well situated for a tourist.
In each city our prime location is to be close to the sights but far enough away to be near the local population. We enjoy eating where the locals eat and seeing a more authentic part of the city. In Prague, we were spot on. Our evenings were spent down on the river by the local barges that are parked along the waterfront. One barge had a wedding party on it the first night we arrived. Another barge had a volleyball sand court as well as seating and a bar. Further down we found one that had two smallish food booths offering oven baked pizza, Kolbaska sausage, salad, hamburgers and drinks. We enjoyed going with our laptops and sitting and working while enjoying the amazing river view and the local people and having a drink.
We spent $55 a night to stay in a modern apartment (in an older building) that had a bed, couch, kitchen, clothes washer and private bathroom. In Prague we were comfortably housed for our adventures. Beth
