Hi.

We are Bud and Beth. We sold most of our belongings (stored the rest) and hit the road for one year around the world. Follow our adventure as we go to 26 countries and 45 cities (give or take a few) in one year.

AIRBNB IN VALENCIA SPAIN

AIRBNB IN VALENCIA SPAIN

In Valencia Spain we tried something new. We booked a bedroom in an apartment rather than the whole apartment. Our hosts Sonia and Kike were a nice, young and considerate couple. They helped us with advice on where to go and what to see.

Our room was pretty small and it had a double (up top) bunk bed. It was really pretty fun, because when is the last time you got to sleep on the top bunk, for me it had been many many years. However, those middle of the night potty trips were kinda funny cause it is not easy to not disturb your sleeping partner. Plus, the ceiling is so close you bump your head - I failed to remember that from my younger days.

We had a great time there but we felt a little awkward living in someones home we barely knew. Bud was more comfortable with it and I was a little more hesitant. The nice part was having someone nearby to get local advice from easily.

We paid $88 a night which took us by surprise when we finally realized it while doing our expenses. We had a little bit of a learning curve, because when I originally looked at the listing it was priced at $34 a night - which I thought was a great deal. However I didn't realize the 2nd person was an additional $29. Then you add the Airbnb fee and we were up to $88 a night.

Education is never cheap. Remember to double check your prices! Beth
