La Corniche is a area along the water that is known for daily beach resorts, swimming, surfing and sunbathing. The resorts are available for entry by the day and offer access to swimming pools, playgrounds, beaches, and restaurants.
The esplanade is a nice walk and ends at a beautiful modern very large mall that features a beautiful indoor centerpiece aquarium that is immaculately kept. Music from a dj plays through out the mall and the vibe is young, upscale and energetic. For me, it made Morocco feel more modern then what I had witnessed in the Casablanca area.
We also crossed over a bridge to a small area known as Marabout of Sidi Abderahman. It is a outcrop of rocks that have a handful of homes and a shrine on it. It use to be only accessible during low tide but a bridge has recently been built. The small shrine attracts Muslims that are afflicted with nervous disorders or evil spells. You have to be a Muslim to enter tho.
Out of places we went in Morocco, if we came back, we would stay in the Corniche . It is more of a beach town atmosphere, alot cleaner and a significant amount more modern. Beth
