HOW MUCH WE SPENT IN AMMAN JORDAN
It was a surprise when we realized that the Jordanian dollar (JD) is $1 to the United states $.71. We had gotten spoiled in Egypt where our dollar was stronger. Luckily we did not have alot of time here and we were so worn out with Egypt that we didn't feel the need for any fancy dinners or nights out on the town. The big plus on this location is the boutique hotel we stayed in served a very good breakfast everyday for free.
Our main splurge was our trip to Petra where we spent $140 for two people to walk for 6 miles in 100 degree heat on dirt and uneven roads dodging camels, donkeys and horse drawn carts. Even with that - we were happy that we went because we saw some of the most beautiful buildings from thousands of years ago. Beth
